Have to Change my Blog

Thank you to EVERYONE that has been so kind to me and sending me wonderful wishes and leaving nice comments.  I have not posted for a while because over the past few days I have received some VERY NASTY messages regarding my BLOG name and my designs.  According to a particular person, she says she has decided to copyright the name "Classroom Couture" and that I will not be able to use those words again.  Then she THREATENS me with a LAWYER and then said I STOLE her designs.  Well, let me just post it here in black and white, I DID NOT STEAL ANY ONE'S DESIGN.  My son and I designed them all BY OURSELVES!  He is a graphic designer and draws my concept on his computer using his Illustrator Program and I have a background in interior design as it is stated right here on my blog.  I am so, so sadden by the attack I received and the threats.  Now I know all about cyber bullying.  WOW... I am utterly shocked.

So, because of this, I am closing down my blog, closing down my TPT and Teachers Notebook stores.  If you do want to still follow me, please visit my original blog @ http://classfullofspecialkinders.blogspot.com

Thank you to all of you that have supported me this short time.  I truly appreciate your kindness.

Sadly and with so much sorrow,

Jeannie

Goodbye Summer!

It is time for me to say goodbye to summer.  It is a bittersweet time as I hate to give up my mornings of sleeping in and nights of staying up past 2 AM but then I am anxious to get back to a normal routine and meet my new kiddos.  After my vacation to Alaska, which was incredible (hubby and the kids caught over 22 Salmon).  They were happy.  Me, not so much because that means we have to eat over 70 pounds of fish.  Looks like I need to have a Salmon Bake Party!!

Well, I managed to get into my classroom this week and finish up some of the decorating.  I don't know what is wrong with me.  I just can't seem to get it finished.  I start something then move on to another area then get distracted... I think I am beginning to have a Love-Hate relationship to Pinterest.  It makes me feel like I have ADD!!  :-)

I start back on Tuesday and still have to do a few finishing touches before then. Thank goodness our Principal is kind enough to open the school for us today and tomorrow.  I still want to put my numbers on the floor for line-up and my saying on the outside of my classroom (which I will be doing with my cricut and some vinyl).

Here is what my classroom looks like now.  Added just a few things.  Thank you to Caitlin Clabby from Kindergarten Smiles for the shape posters I put up on the white board, Live, Love, Laugh Kindergarten for the number posters, and Miss Nelson for the Transportation Display.  I love that they all fit with my classroom colors.  I know I could have made them myself but I love to incorporate others ideas into my class environment.  So thank you to these talented ladies!

Will be MIA for the next 2 weeks!

Well, the time has finally arrived.  Off to Alaska.  Nope, not my choice of vacation but gotta give the hubby a nice Vacation at least once in our 30 years of marriage!  Actually it will be fun.  My parents, 2 children and daughter-in-law are all going on the cruise and we can't wait.  I will not have internet access on the ship (very limited and expensive) so I will be having withdrawals I am sure.  It is amazing how much I have grown to depend on my technology and actually feel really helpless without it.  Of course Mr. H. is happy about this because now I will actually have to talk to him!  Oh wait, he will regret he said that after 24 hours with me in a small cabin on a ship in the middle of the ocean.  He will be ready to fork over the money for the internet!  So my bloggy friends, I will be thinking of you and wondering who has done what to their room, who has made what or who has posted a new TPT or Teachers Notebook item.  Have a great couple of weeks and I will be blog stalking when I return!

Blessings,

Jeannie

Ahoy Matey! New Theme! Arrrgh!

Ok, that title is silly! But I love our new Pirate theme. My son, the very talented Graphic Designer, designed the "pencil and ruler" pirate theme so it could really be used with any age group. I ADORE how these came out. I hope you will too! Please visit my Teachers Notebook store to purchase and download.
